Second Chance Renting
Our Second Chance Renting Program is designed to help Homeless Working Families get a Second Chance at Renting. We help people with previous evictions, judgments, bankruptcies, bad credit, convictions and first-time renters find an apartment. THE MAIN REQUIREMENT IS INCOME. YOU MUST BE ON YOUR JOB FOR AT LEAST 4 MONTHS. YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO SIGN UP EVEN IF YOU HAVEN’T BEEN ON YOUR JOB FOR AT LEAST 4 MONTHS. ONCE YOU HIT THE 4 MONTH MARK, WE WILL REACH OUT AND BEGIN THE PLACEMENT PROCESS.
The process for getting into the program is as follows:
· Fill out the program application. You can fill out a rental app, upload current check stubs and a current ID, sign the program contract and pay a ($338 or 5-12% of your monthly income) program fee within the application. The program fee includes a credit repair program that is mandatory to get into our program.
Every client goes into the Eviction Prevention Program. Some clients come directly into this program. We use preventive measures in this program to ensure the client doesn’t get evicted and to ensure the landlord doesn’t lose money. Some of the steps are as follows:
The Spend DownProgram benefits both owners and tenants. Tenants have the opportunity to submit a larger payment with their initial rent and security deposit. This larger amount will offset future rent payments.
